Trump Makes Bittersweet Announcement After Winning Golf Club Championship

Trump Hints at End of Golfing Era After Championship Win

Former President Donald Trump suggested this week that he may be nearing the end of his golfing days after winning the Golf Club Championship at his Palm Beach club. “Probably my last,” he wrote in a social media post, calling it a great honor.

The tournament took place at Trump International Golf Club, considered the crown jewel of Trump’s properties due to its proximity to his Mar-a-Lago home. Trump, often seen golfing and signing documents there, remains closely tied to the venue.

Interestingly, the win came on the same green where he was nearly assassinated last August. The day before the event, Trump was photographed in golf attire as he watched missile strikes on Houthi rebels in Yemen.

Meanwhile, Trump is experiencing his highest approval rating since taking office. According to a new NBC News poll, 47% of Americans approve of his performance, with 44% believing the country is headed in the right direction — the most optimistic result since 2004.

However, the majority still disapprove of his handling of the economy, with 54% expressing dissatisfaction. The poll also shows stark political divides: 90% of Republicans approve of Trump, compared to just 4% of Democrats..

Despite these divisions, many voters believe Trump is delivering the “right kind of change,” especially in trade policy. While inflation remains a concern, more people view his economic policies as helpful than harmful.

This rise in support marks a turnaround from last September, when only 28% of Americans felt the country was on the right track.
